What types of patients do you see?

We care for women in perimenopause, menopause, and postmenopause. This includes patients seeking symptom relief, preventive care, and long term health optimization related to hormones, bone health, cardiovascular health, and overall well being. 
 
What is hormone therapy?
 
Hormone therapy (HT) involves the use of estradiol, progesterone, and testosterone to help replace hormones that naturally decline with age. Hormone therapy cn significantly improve quality of life and help protect long term health. 

Is hormone therapy safe? 


Hormone therapy is safe and effective for most women and best benefit occurs when it is started within 10 years of menopause. Your care is always individualized, based on your health history, risk factors, symptoms, and personal goals. We follow evidence based guidelines and continuously reassess therapy to ensure safety. 

What symptoms can hormone therapy help with?

Hormone therapy can help improve hot flashes, night sweats, sleep problems, mood changes, anxiety, brain fog, memory concerns, vaginal dryness, painful intercourse, low libido, fatigue, joint aches, muscle pain, bone loss and fracture risk. 

Do you offer testosterone therapy to women?

Yes, when clinically indicated. Testosterone may help with symptoms such as low libido, reduced energy, and decreased muscle mass. Therapy is closely dosed and monitored. 

Do you treat perimenopause, or only menopause? 


Yes! We treat both perimenopause and menopause Many women experience significant symptoms during menopause, even while still having periods. Early evaluation and treatment can provide relief and offers long term health benefits. 

What is your approach to care?

Our philosophy is patient informed, shared decision making. We believe you should fully understand your options, the benefits and risks, and feel empowered to make decisions about your care. Appointments are thorough, educational, and focused on your individual needs.  

Do you prescribed compounded hormones?

We prescribed both compounded hormones as well as commercial hormone therapies that are FDA approved. Together, we decide which option best fits your medical needs, preferences, and access considerations. 
What types and forms of hormone therapy do you offer?

We offer a personalized range of hormone therapy options, including oral, transdermal, vaginal, and injectable medications. Treatment may include local and/or systemic therapies, thoughtfully selected based on your symptoms, health history, and preferences. 

Do you offer estrogen therapy for facial skin?

Yes, topical estrogen helps women who are experiencing skin changes such as thinning, dryness, and loss of elasticity. Estrogen plays a key role in collagen production, skin thickness, hydration and elasticity, and barrier strength. 

Do you accept insurance and are medications covered?

We are a self-pay practice which allows us to provide longer visits, individualized care, and treatment plans that are not restricted by insurance requirements. While we do not bill insurance companies directly, some commercial medications and most laboratory testing are often covered by insurance, depending on your individual plan. Compounded medications are not covered. We review expected costs with you in advance so you can make informed decisions about your care. 

What can I expect at my first visit?

Your initial visit includes: a comprehensive medical and symptom history, review of prior labs and records, discussion of goals, concerns, and treatment options. We will also cover education on hormone therapy, treatment options, and alternatives. You will leave with a personalized care plan. Labs may be ordered if clinic.

How often will I need follow up visits?

Follow up frequency depends on your treatment plan and how your body responds. Most patients are seen more frequently during the initial adjustment period and then transition to routine follow ups.

Are appointments offered via telemedicine?

Yes. We are a telemedicine only practice that allows you to receive personalized care from the comfort and privacy of your home.  All visits are conducted through a secure, HIPPA compliant platform and include a comprehensive health history review, symptom assessment, lab review, education, and shared decision making. We coordinate laboratory testing and other services locally to ensure you receive high quality, continuous care while maintaining the convenience of virtual visits.
